Renovations at Sofitel Munich were finally completed in May 2017 after 18 months of extensive reconstruction and design work while still open for business. Guests can feel the luxury the moment they enter the former royal Bavarian post office, now an exclusive five-star hotel. Tasteful, updated flooring and lighting in the lobby create a more open look, highlighting this area as the centrepiece and first impression for visitors.
The reception, concierge and guest relations desks were also moved and redesigned to make interactions with guests more comfortable and personal. The rooms and suites also underwent extensive renovations. The interior design is an homage to the freethinking artists of the 1920s and the great writers of that era, such as Sartre and Feuchtwanger. To ensure that hotel guests enjoy the ultimate luxuries and amenities, the designers decided to install WASHLET GL in 100 rooms and all 57 suites.
