Experiencing japanese Omotenashi first hand

Its one thing working for a Japanese company in London but quite another to visit our colleagues on the other side of the world. I had the honour to be invited to Japan as the recipient of TOTO’s President Award which is an opportunity to communicate our work in the UK to our colleagues in Japan. It was not only my first time visiting the HQ but it was also my first trip to Japan, so I had the benefit of the double cultural and business whammy. By Katy

The Art of Tea

WASHLET® and the age-appropriate bathroom

Many people may not be ready to think about an age-appropriate bathroom – and would rather put that off for a later time. Age-appropriate bathrooms aren’t about comfort and hygiene alone. Even younger people can suddenly find themselves experiencing physical limitations, e.g. after an operation, an injury, or even “just” a pinched nerve. A Japanese garden at TOTO in London

Zen gardens are a fascinating feature of Japanese culture and this summer TOTO celebrates this venerable tradition at a special exhibition at our London showroom. Designed by Emi Morita, a Japanese landscape designer, the installation will be available to visit from 20 May - 31 July 2024. Alongside the garden there will be a unique Japanese Tea House designed by London based architects Squire & Partners.
