The information counters in the Hall Napoléon located below the pyramid, were relocated to allow light and space to dominate this area. A large poster at the entrance to each wing of the museum represents each specific area. Three additional posters feature famous works in the Louvre's permanent collection, clearly illustrating the layout of the museum in an easy to understand way. The men's toilet features NC series toilets and dryers customised specically for the Louvre. The redesign of the Hall Napoléon includes clear signage to the sanitary facilities, which is visible throughout the entire space. In each toilet, a thank-you plate indicatethat they were made thanks to the donation of TOTO.
Unmissable in Japan, adopted by the biggest hotels and palaces worldwide, the famous Japanese sanitary brand TOTO maintains its brand positioning as a high quality brand with an avant-guarde design, installing its solutions in extremely frequented places like railway stations, airports (Tokyo,Dubaï, Los Angeles, Shangaï, Singapore...). At the occasion of its 100th birthday, the company is extremely proud to contribute to the improvement of the sanitaries of Le Louvre museum. The renovation is part of the Pyramid Project, the major reconfiguration of the visitors' welcome place, started by the Louvre in June 2014 and completed in July 2016. A former royal palace, the Louvre has been an important part of French history for eight centuries. Established as a universal museum in 1793, the Louvre's collections are among the world's greatest -spanning several thousands of years and the entire globe, from the Americas to the borders of Asia. The museum has over 38,000 artworks in eight departments marvelled by people around the world, including Mona Lisa, Nike of Samothrace and Venus von Milo. Le Louvre is the most visited museum in the world, welcoming 8.6 million visitors in 2015. The museum is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (the halls close at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays). The museum is also open Wednesdays until 9:45 p.m. and Fridays until 9:30 p.m.

Just 25 years later, the number of visitors is closing in on the 10 million mark - far surpassing the capacity of the entrance area, and creating a hassle for visitors. The Pyramid Project, completed between 2014 and 2016, was the first step of a major project designed to improve people's experiences when visiting the Louvre. It is part of an overarching effort to upgrade the museum's collections. The project, planned by the museum's teams in collaboration with architectural firm Search, has restored the Hall Napoléon to its original purpose: a place for people to get ready for their museum visit. The facilities required for the museum's logistics (cashregisters, cloakrooms, toilets) were moved to the periphery of the pyramid without interfering withits architecture. Comfortable visit thanks to clean, high-quality sanitary facilities Over the course of this massive renovation effort, the Louvre chose TOTO as the supplier for thesanitary facilities located in the Hall Napoléon.TOTO was a patron of the restoration process, donating toilets, urinals, washbasins and hand dryersfor the men's and women's washrooms. TOTO products have an aesthetic, streamlined design, andare known for being extremely durable, hygienic and easy to clean - essential factors considering thehuge numbers of museum visitors each year. The look of the products also meets the expectationsand needs of an international group of customers. Technological innovation leadership TOTO's sanitary products stand out for their impressive technical features: • All TOTO ceramic products, toilet bowls and urinals feature the special CeFiONtect glaze. This highly durable coating is very resilient, and makes it difficult for bacteria and waste to accumulate on the surface - for outstanding hygiene. • Tornado Flush produces a circulating whirlpool of water which cleans the entire toilet bowl very thoroughly - without any spray or mist which could spread germs to surrounding areas. The flush is always very quiet and saves water. • All toilets feature rimless bowls, which make them easy to clean as there is no rim to trap dirt and bacteria underneath. This design reduces the amount of effort and cleansers required for cleaning. • The chosen sensor-based hand dryers are touch free. Toilets for museum staff Museum employees also have the opportunity to enjoy the added comfort TOTO products - withm WASHLET shower toilets installed in the staff washrooms. They can now enjoy all of the hygiene and comfort technologies that make WASHLET so special: gentle warm-water cleansing, heated seat, adjustable water temperature and pressure, and much more. In this way, WASHLET helps promote the feeling of freshness and well-being in the workplace. Important information about the Louvre Name: Musée du Louvre
